Artist

Krystelle Carrier is a Canadian-German artist based in Toronto. Since a young age, she has explored multiple mediums and creative outlets, including working as a makeup artist in New York City. She graduated from Parsons School of Design with a BBA in Strategic Design and Management and minor in Psychology. Initially pursuing a career in sustainable fashion, she rediscovered her pure love for art through painting. While her first commissioned artworks reflected an abstract style, she is now finding her voice through realism.

Through her work, Krystelle aims to spark critical reflection on our current lifestyle and outlook in order to tackle overconsumption. Her art invites others to slow down and appreciate the little (and often free) things that make our lives great. Her paintings often depict small accents of everyday life, focusing on the beauty of what we can take for granted. Although inspired by her own surroundings and culture, she aims to romanticize absolutely everything.
